ACCIDENTALLY HONEST
ACCIDENTALLY HONEST
I didn't mean to make this painting.
This is the back of a canvas.
Acrylic spilled.
Resin ran.
Something went wrong.
I wrote on it before I threw it away:
"I fucked up the front so now this is the painting."
Then I stood back and realised that's probably how most beautiful things happen.
Not through perfection.
Not through control.
Not through getting it right the first time.
But through mistakes.
Through mess.
Through being honest enough to leave the evidence behind.
Maybe the things we're most desperate to hide are often the most interesting parts of us.
Mixed media on canvas.
Acrylic, resin, and accidental truth.
