SECOND SKIN - Bo Wilde 🎨

Constructed from reclaimed window blinds salvaged from my own home and stretched over a handmade timber frame, SECOND SKIN transforms discarded materials into a contemporary statement piece.

Every layer is painted entirely by hand using acrylic paint, acrylic markers and mixed media. Rather than concealing the original surface, the texture of the blind remains visible throughout the work, allowing the history of the material to become part of the final composition.

Influenced by graffiti, pop culture, motorsport and urban expression, the painting explores the tension between order and chaos, value and waste, permanence and reinvention. What was once overlooked becomes the foundation for something bold, expressive and built to last.
