Then there are paintings that create themselves through you.

I made this in the weeks after heartbreak.

It was messy.
Erotic.
Vulnerable.
Raw.

I wasn’t trying to make something beautiful.

I was trying to make something honest.

Every ripped layer of canvas became something I couldn’t put back.

The concrete became armour.

The hot pink became longing.

The fragments became the parts of me I was still trying to understand.

It’s about the strange ache of being seen before you’re truly known.

Of being desired before you’re deeply loved.
