PEOPLE ARE STRANGE
Title: People Are Strange
Acrylic and spray paint on canvas.
A collision of childhood nostalgia, chaos and contradiction, People Are Strange layers familiar cartoon imagery with raw graffiti, numbers, symbols and half-finished thoughts.
Mickey appears again and again, but never quite as we remember him — buried, scribbled over, distorted and interrupted by colour. The work plays with the strange space between innocence and adulthood; the things we grow up with, the things we outgrow, and the parts of ourselves that never really leave.
Bright, unruly and deliberately imperfect, it feels like a wall that has collected years of memories, noise and rebellion.
An original mixed-media style work for someone who likes their art loud, nostalgic and a little unhinged.
